Turīya: The Fourth State of Consciousness
नान्तःप्रज्ञं न बहिष्प्रज्ञं नोभयतःप्रज्ञं न प्रज्ञानघनं न प्रज्ञं नाप्रज्ञम्।
"Neither inward-looking nor outward-looking, beyond empirical cognition, tranquil, benign, non-dual."
In Vedic epistemology, Turīya transcends waking (Jāgrat), dreaming (Svapna), and deep sleep (Suṣupti). It represents the pure, unchanging witness awareness upon which all temporal experience unfolds.
